A reputable organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its finance team based in Brisbane CBD. This is an excellent opportunity for a credit professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships while taking ownership of a high‑volume ledger.

Working within a cooperative finance team, you will play a key role in maintaining cash flow, reducing debtor days, and managing customer accounts with a balanced commercial approach. You will be joining a business that values teamwork, continuous improvement, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing a high‑volume accounts receivable ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Contacting customers to secure payment or negotiate suitable payment arrangements.
- Investigating and resolving account queries, disputes, and payment discrepancies.
- Performing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Monitoring customer credit risk and escalating trends or concerns where appropriate.
- Processing receivable and banking‑related administration tasks.
- Managing insolvency, liquidation and debt recovery processes in line with company policy.




- Partnering closely with internal stakeholders to resolve customer issues and improve outcomes.

Skills & Experience

- Demonstrated experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable within a medium to large organisation.
- A proven track record managing a high‑volume debtor ledger.
- Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Experience with customer reconciliations, dispute resolution and collections.
- Exposure to ERP systems and intermediate Excel skills.
