About The Role

We are seeking a Warehouse Officer for a full-time position based in Telarah, New South Wales. This role supports the effective operation of Gemco Rail's warehousing activities and reporting requirements. The role reports to the Supply Chain Coordinator NSW and collaborates closely with the stores team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage inbound and outbound activities associated with product movement and transactions within the ERP system.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment while adhering to all safety procedures.
- Pick and pack goods as per operational requirements.
- Prepare and distribute materials to production lines as needed.
- Organise warehouse to ensure space is efficiently utilised.
- Book freight and coordinate with couriers and freight forwarders.
- Load and unload trucks and company vehicles.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects upon receipt and follow up with vendors.
- Stack and store items safely to prevent damage.
- Raise purchase requisitions and orders to manage production requirements.




- Assist with end‑of‑month administration activities regarding material movements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

About You

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

- Understanding of warehouse and logistics processes.
- Transactional computer literacy in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Ability to reconcile inventory.
- Strong customer focus and ability to work with peers and site colleagues to provide a reliable and efficient service.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong willingness to learn and contribute to overall processes.
- Valid High Risk Work Licence (LF Forklift).
- Understanding of WHS requirements.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences

- 3+ years’ experience in warehouse and logistics operations.
- Experience working in a production/maintenance environment.
- Previous experience in the rail/heavy maintenance industry highly regarded.
- Previous experience with SAP.
