About the role

This is a unique opportunity for a highly commercial lawyer who is looking to gain regular exposure to executive management.

Off the back of a rapidly growing portfolio, the business has created a new senior legal counsel position for someone who is as commercially sharp as they are legally capable. You'll sit close to the business, working on high-impact projects that will test both your legal judgement and your commercial instincts.

In this role, you will:

- Partner directly with bid teams, estimators and technical specialists, playing a central role in how projects are shaped, priced and pursued
- Own the legal and commercial strategy on tenders, advising on contract structures, risk allocation and negotiation approach




- Help secure major wins by bringing sharp commercial thinking to high-value opportunities that build the organisation's pipeline and strengthen its standing as an industry leader
- Get true end-to-end exposure, from early bid strategy through to project delivery, with visibility and influence at every stage

About you

You thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy working across the full project lifecycle and comfortable making calls when the picture isn't entirely explicit.

You'll bring

- At least 8 years' PQE
- Solid in-house experience in front-end construction work
- Strong commercial and strategic judgement, backed by a track record of real results
- A proactive, pragmatic, solutions-first approach
- Sharp communication, negotiation and stakeholder-influencing skills
