In this role, you'll:

Work as part of a team undertaking research, analysis and stakeholder consultation to develop and make recommendations to the Commissioner and Senior Leadership Team relating to point to point industry safety and measures to address industry safety issues.

This role will see you develop, draft and review policy instruments and recommendations around complex policy issues, identifying emerging issues, developing evidence-based options, and recommending solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risks, including new industry safety and operating standards.

You will produce well researched, clear and concise support material including policies, procedures, guidelines, fact sheets,



and ways of working materials as appropriate to ensure clear and concise information for the industry and key stakeholders relating to critical safety issues and new industry safety standards in a constantly changing environment.

About you

Your ability to work autonomously and deliver timely strategic policy advice based on evidence you have researched across government, or regulatory organisations will see you excel in producing timely accurate advice and information supporting the the NSW Point to Point Commission in exercising its functions under point to point law.

You're recognised as an experienced policy professional who is able to work independently and "think outside the box" to ensure the delivery of timely accurate policy initiatives and reviews, skilled at multitasking as you will be part of a small but busy team where you will be involved in a variety of work. Ideally you will have experience in a government or regulatory related role where you have worked with complex legislation, interpreting this and adapting it into concise and easy to understand information for a diverse audience.
