No portfolio? No worries. We are looking for builders, not people who polish slide decks. If you have shipped real products, keep reading. The Mission
At Uptick, we build the operating system for the people who keep our buildings safe. It is high-stakes, complex work where our customers run their entire organisations on our platform. Our engineering team is elite and turbo-charged by AI.
We merged over 700 pull requests last month alone, which is the kind of output you would expect from a company ten times our size. We are putting our money where our mouth is by investing over $100,000 every single month into AI infrastructure and R&D.; AI Scheduler (The Calendar Tetris Killer)
Our customers' schedulers spend their days playing calendar Tetris. Hundreds of jobs dragged onto technician calendars one at a time, juggling site access windows, accreditations and travel time, with a whiteboard that is permanently out of date.
We have already shipped the foundation: select a mountain of tasks, drop them onto a calendar, and our AI Scheduler proposes efficient multi-appointment routes built on real traffic data, technician skills and site access hours. Now we need someone to take it on and do the hard yards to get our customers realising the value. You will work directly with our Group Product Lead and our Product Lead (also a designer) to crack the design problems this frontier is full of.
How do you earn a scheduler's trust in a machine-built plan? How do you explain why a job was left out? How do you make reviewing a fortnight of appointments feel effortless? Get this right and our customers never plan a week by hand again.
