MIGAS Apprentices and Trainees – Eagle Farm QLD

MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees is looking for a motivated Fitter & Turner Apprentice to join Twin Disc Pacific, a global leader in industrial, marine and defence power transmission equipment.

This is not your average workshop job. You'll get hands‑on experience working on transmissions, drives and pumps used in some of Australia's toughest industries, including marine, mining, defence, emergency services and industrial applications.

If you enjoy figuring out how things work, pulling things apart and putting them back together, solving problems and learning practical skills, this could be the perfect chance for you.

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll learn how to:

- Repair and overhaul mechanical equipment
- Assemble and test transmissions, pumps and drives
- Use workshop tools, machinery and specialist equipment
- Read engineering drawings and technical information
- Diagnose mechanical faults and solve problems
- Assist technicians during field service work
- Build skills that will set you up for a long‑term career in engineering

Most of your work will be based in our Eagle Farm workshop, with occasional opportunities to support field service jobs under supervision, both locally and interstate.

Working Hours

- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am to 4:00pm
- Overtime opportunities available

Occasional supervised field work

- Get paid while you learn
- Earn a nationally recognised trade qualification
- Gain hands‑on experience from day one

About You

- Has a great attitude and willingness to learn
- Enjoys practical, hands‑on work
- Likes solving problems and figuring out how things work
- Is reliable and motivated
- Works well in a team
- Takes safety seriously
- Has a valid driver's licence (or is working towards obtaining one)
- Has reliable transport to Eagle Farm

You don't need experience, just a genuine interest in mechanical work and a desire to build a successful career.
