Parts Interpreter / Warranty Coordinator

BYD Nunawading is seeking a motivated and organised Parts Interpreter / Warranty Coordinator to join our growing Aftersales team.

This role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Parts Department while coordinating manufacturer warranty administration to ensure efficient workshop operations and excellent customer service.

About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Parts Department while coordinating manufacturer warranty administration to ensure efficient workshop operations and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Interpret parts requirements and accurately identify, source and order genuine vehicle parts.

- Process customer, workshop and internal parts enquiries in a timely manner.

- Maintain parts inventory, stock control and warehouse organisation.

- Receive, inspect and allocate incoming parts deliveries.

- Coordinate manufacturer warranty claims in accordance with BYD warranty policies and procedures.





- Monitor warranty claim status and liaise with the manufacturer regarding approvals and enquiries.

- Maintain accurate warranty documentation and service records.

- Work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians and the Aftersales team to ensure smooth workshop operations.

- Assist with inventory counts and stock reconciliation.

- Support general administration within the Aftersales Department.

- Perform other reasonable duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter, Warranty Coordinator, Parts Advisor, or a similar dealership role.

- Experience in the automotive industry is essential.

- Good knowledge of automotive parts and dealership operations.

- Strong organisational and time management skills.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.

Highly Regarded

- Previous BYD dealership experience.

- Experience with EV (Electric Vehicle) brands.

- Experience processing manufacturer warranty claims.

- Experience using automotive dealership management systems.
