Plastec Australia is a leading Sunshine Coast manufacturer involved in the production of PVC plastic plumbing fittings.

We are currently expanding and seeking to employ an Assembly Hand to join our team. Workers within Assembly are responsible for assisting with the daily operational functionalities of the Assembly Department both accurately and promptly.

Experience is not necessary, although a background in manufacturing would be an advantage.

What you'll be doing

- Assemble pre-manufactured components and parts as directed by the assembly supervisor.
- Operate different machinery as trained, this may include, but not limited to the wrapper, nail or welding machine.
- Use screwdrivers, pliers, and special tools to position and hold parts during assembly.
- Properly store and maintain production parts, tools and equipment.
- Ensure that all parts have been assembled correctly before packing.
- Pack completed products into specified carton quantities.
- Inspect products or subassemblies for functionality and quality.
- Set up and operate machinery in accordance with current manufacturing practices.
- Analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements.




- Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
- Mark or tag identification on parts.

Essential skills, abilities and attributes:

- Positive attitude
- Ability to multi-task
- Physically fit, able to manage lifting of weights up to 25kgs
- Confident communicator who can think on their feet
- Knowledge of assembly line processes/production highly regarded
- Forklift license may be beneficial but not necessary
- Well organised and experienced in problem solving
