About the Role
This role offers a key opportunity to shape organisational culture, elevate safety and quality standards and make a positive impact on the wellbeing of our workforce. We are looking for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality (EHSQ) Manager to look after our NSW region. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-
- Assist managers to implement the company’s EHSQ Policy and Management System, including conducting and visiting regional branches and sites throughout NSW.
- Promote incorporation of EHSQ into business planning and assist with establishing EHSQ as a business and management performance measure, including KPI’s, Objectives and Targets.
- Ensure timely monthly reporting, including collation, conducting and communicating data analysis to identify trends and recommend strategies to management that may assist in reducing occurrences.
- Assist in the investigation and management of any serious incidents or near misses involving employees, contractors or members of the public on Wormald premises or involving Wormald’s products and/or services, for the purpose of identifying the root causes for the incident and the corrective actions required to prevent a recurrence, ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
- Identify risk and non-conformance issues that may have a significant impact on the business and ensure that activities regularly focus on these areas, identify recurring issues and look for solutions to eliminate or reduce occurrences.
- Involvement in the development and implementation of regional and/or national EHSQ projects, processes and procedures to promote employee and contractor involvement in relation to workplace EHSQ.
- Generate and communicate relevant EHSQ documentation, including toolbox talks/topics and Safety/ Environmental Alerts.
- Maintain networks, internally with other EHSQ personnel, and externally with industry, statutory and professional bodies.
About You
- Tertiary EHSQ-related qualifications and prior experience in the Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality sector is considered essential.
- Audit qualifications and experience essential.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products.
- Flexibility to travel intrastate and interstate, on an occasional basis.
