Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Basis & BTP Architect to lead the design,

implementation, standardization, automation, and governance of SAP landscapes across SAP RISE and SAP BTP environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP Basis administration, SAP BTP platform services, cloud architecture,

security, automation, and SAP Cloud ALM.

The role requires a strategic thinker who can define architecture standards, drive platform modernization initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and provide technical leadership across enterprise SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

SAP BTP Platform Architecture

 Design and govern SAP BTP platform architecture across multiple landscapes.

 Establish standardized and repeatable provisioning processes for SAP BTP environments.

 Define enterprise-wide BTP governance, security, and operational standards.

 Guide adoption of SAP BTP services aligned with SAP Clean Core principles.

Terraform; Infrastructure Automation

 Design, implement, and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure for SAP BTP.

 Develop reusable IaC (Infrastructure as Code) components and deployment frameworks.

 Ensure landscape consistency across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments.

 Reduce configuration drift, manual effort, and deployment risks through automation.

Identity; Security Architecture

 Lead SAP BTP Trust Configuration initiatives.





 Drive migration from SAML-based authentication to OpenID Connect (OIDC).

 Establish secure identity federation frameworks.

 Develop standards for authentication, authorization, and access management.

SAP BTP Credential Management

 Architect and implement SAP BTP Credential Store solutions.

 Define lifecycle management processes for secrets, service keys, certificates,

and credentials.

 Implement automated key rotation and renewal mechanisms.

 Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.

SAP Cloud ALM

 Lead implementation and optimization of SAP Cloud ALM modules including:

o Implementation o Transformation o Service Operations

 Establish operational monitoring and governance processes.

 Support SAP RISE landscape management and ongoing service operations.

Platform Automation & Innovation

 Identify automation opportunities across SAP platform operations.

 Lead Proof of Concepts and pilot initiatives.

 Improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

 Drive continuous improvement initiatives within SAP operations.

GitHub-Based Configuration Management

 Establish GitHub governance for:





o BTP Configuration Management o Terraform Code o CIS Definitions o IPS JSON Transformations o Operational Documentation

 Define branching, approval, release, and pull-request management standards.

 Implement version control and release traceability processes.
