Senior Renal Social Worker, Level 4 The Senior Renal Social Worker Level 4 is a vital member of both the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) Renal Service and the broader multidisciplinary healthcare team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based social work services to patients and clients across inpatient and outpatient settings. Working with people living with late-stage chronic kidney disease, this role provides comprehensive psychosocial assessment, advocacy, information and education, referral to community supports, and emotional and practical support for patients, families and carers through a client-centred approach. This is an chance to make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of renal patients while contributing to service excellence and the ongoing development of social work practice across MLHD.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate

Tertiary qualification in Social Work with eligibility for full membership with AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers).

Advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in delivery of high-quality evidence based Social Work in the field of healthcare and chronic disease.

Experience in leadership within a multidisciplinary team setting and ability to provide professional supervision to local and district allied health staff/students.

Excellence in communication skills, negotiation, decision making, advocacy, and the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
