Business Development Executive – HIAIS – South Australia
HIA Insurance Services (HIAIS) is a specialist insurance broker, providing insurance products and risk advice to the residential building industry. Formed in 1984, HIAIS is a joint venture between Aon and the Housing Industry Association (HIA).
Overview
As a Business Development Executive, you will generate new business and optimise cross‑sell opportunities. You will provide exceptional client service, develop and manage a prospect pipeline and provide quotes and terms to new business opportunities.
Our joint venture provides us with the unique opportunity to leverage the risk and insurance expertise of Aon, with HIA’s deep knowledge of the housing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on driving recent business sales for HIAIS
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline
- Effective client handover with Broking Team to manage ongoing client relationships
- Monitor and report on budget results
- Meet with prospects, presenting a compelling value proposition and identifying cross‑sell opportunities for clients
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years industry experience (insurance broking preferred)
- Understanding of risk products, service offerings and delivery systems
- Motivated and entrepreneurial approach to generating new business
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders professionally
- Effective time management and organisational skills
