About Our Church

Gloucester Baptist is a warm, multi-generational evangelical church family with a charismatic heart. We hold the Bible as our unadulterated foundation and actively rely on the Holy Spirit.

We are currently experiencing an exciting season of next-gen growth. Alongside our highly valued mature believers, we have a booming Friday night Youth ministry of over 30 local teenagers. Our faith is followed by action through a prominent town-centre Op-Shop, a weekly Craft group, home small groups, a men’s fellowship, Senior’s ministry Lunches, and school scripture (SRE) teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Preaching: Deliver engaging, biblically grounded Sunday messages prioritising clarity and practical everyday application.
- Pastoral Care: Prioritise genuine connection so that members across all generations feel seen, loved, and valued.
- Equipping Leaders: Support our youth and wider teams while intentionally empowering lay leaders to serve in their strengths.




- Team-oriented Oversight: Partner with a capable Diaconate to maintain healthy administration and Safe Church compliance.

About You

- A Shepherd’s Heart: A vibrant relationship with Jesus, a committed prayer life, and a natural love for shepherding people.
- Collaborative Leadership: A team-oriented approach that empowers volunteers rather than micro-managing or carrying the load alone.
- Generational Agility: The ability to feed a mature congregation while passionately supporting ministries for youth and young families.
- Missional & Community Partnership: A proven desire to work collaboratively with other local churches, building strong relational bridges to serve the wider Gloucester community together.
- Theological Fit: Fully aligned with evangelical Baptist distinctives and comfortable with a “charismatic heart”.
- Credentials: A recognised theological degree, Baptist NSW/ACT accreditation preferred, a valid WWCC, and Safe Church training.
