Key Details

- $62,540 to $72,329 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
- Full time position (not suitable for Pharmacy Students)
- Central location in the Parkville Precinct
- Generous Salary Packaging, ADO, 5 weeks annual leave
- On-the-job training and upskilling; sponsorship opportunities for overseas trained pharmacists and senior technicians

About the Role

Pharmacy at The Royal Melbourne Hospital plays a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of medications across our 600-bed health service. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team to support the provision of high-quality pharmaceutical care and medicines management for our patients.

We provide high-level pharmacy services over our Parkville and Royal Park campuses, including technician-led:

- Inpatient services
- Outpatient services
- Aseptic and Sterile manufacturing services
- Inventory management
- Digital health
- Advanced roles including technician checking and medicines access programs

We are also continuously developing new roles into exciting areas such as:

- Ambulatory care
- State-wide medication services

Key Accountabilities

- Work in partnership with the Pharmacy Inpatient & Ambulatory Services team to provide high-quality, patient-centred pharmacy services
- Train and develop new skills as we expand into new and exciting roles
- Participate in day‑to‑day pharmacy technician duties across inpatients, outpatients, sterile/aseptic manufacturing, inventory, and clinical wards




- Maintain a customer focus for all services within the scope of the position
- Contribute to on‑call, after‑hours, public holiday, and weekend services
- Participate in meetings and committees

About You

- Certificate IV in Health (or equivalent) / Overseas trained pharmacist
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Well‑developed oral & written communication skills

Desirable

- Previous experience in community or hospital pharmacy
