Our client at Port Botany is keen to hear from an experienced Fitter/Mechanic looking for an on going view to a Permanent work position.

We have exciting opportunities for experienced Fitter/Mechanic in Port Botany. As a member of our service team, you’ll handle equipment upgrades, overhauls, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on heavy complex assets across various industries. The role demands both independent fieldwork and collaborative efforts on larger projects. We value energetic individuals with a background in heavy industry or experience with automated equipment. An ability to work at heights is necessary.

The weekday casual rate of pay starts from $57 per hour plus a $30 a day travel allowance (maximum $150 per week). The full-time rate of pay after six months is $55.00 per hour plus travel allowance and full leave entitlements. Afternoon and weekend paid + shift allowance.

- Trade qualification Fitter/Mechanic with at least 3 to 5 years post-trade experience
- Understand and comply with WHS policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build robust relationships with colleagues and customers
- Be a motivated, self-starter; with a professional attitude
- Have ability to work under pressure with excellent time management.
- Criminal check and Maritime Security Identification Card may be required after two months of employment.
- Able to work at hights, is a must on these ship to shore crane's.
