About the role

Southern Steel Supplies is seeking an experienced Heavy Combination (HC) Truck Driver to join our team. This is a full-time role where you’ll play a vital part in the transportation and delivery of steel to our valued customers.

What you’ll be doing

Safely operating and maintaining trucks and trailers to transport steel products

Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance

Adhering to all road rules, regulations and company safety policies

Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers and management to provide updates on deliveries

Completing all required paperwork and delivery documentation accurately





Delivering excellent customer service and representing Southern Steel Supplies in a professional manner

What we’re looking for

Minimum 2 years’ experience operating HC trucks

Strong knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices

Good communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to safety
