About the Role
Preshil is seeking a dedicated and creative Primary School Classroom Teacher for a full time fixed-term position, commencing in term three and concluding at the end of term four in 2026. Based at our Arlington Campus in Kew, this role involves co‑leading and co‑teaching a primary class within a learning environment that values individuality, agency and real relationships over rigid programs and standardised pathways.
You will design and facilitate rich, developmentally appropriate learning across the primary curriculum, guided by enquiry and shaped by the interests and needs of your students. Working within our collaborative, relationship‑driven approach, you’ll create a classroom culture where curiosity is encouraged, responsibility is expected, and young people are trusted to take ownership of their learning.

You are a warm, reflective and flexible educator who values individuality,
creativity and the unique potential of every child. You understand that learning isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all, and you design experiences that invite curiosity, independence and genuine engagement. You bring
- Completion of an accredited Initial Teacher Education (ITE) program, such as:
- A four‑year undergraduate teaching degree; or
- A two‑year postgraduate teaching qualification following a relevant undergraduate degree
- Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Experience teaching in primary settings
- The ability to create inclusive, student‑driven learning that centres enquiry, creativity and purposeful learning.
- A commitment to progressive educational practice and ongoing professional learning
