Sportsplex Facilities Manager

This position involves performing routine and preventative maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and grounds to ensure the Sportsplex remains safe, clean, and operational.

Responsibilities: Inspecting facilities for safety hazards; completing minor repairs; coordinating specialized repairs; setting up and tearing down for events; maintaining maintenance records; responding quickly to requests; monitoring supplies; ensuring safety compliance; supporting daily operations and event preparation.

Supervision: This position is supervised by the Parks & Recreation Director.

Work Hours: Standard hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., flexible for facility activities. Evening, weekend, holiday, and emergency work may be required.

Salary: $50,500 to $65,000, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree, technical, or trade certification preferred. Prior experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field preferred.

Operations Supervisor – Part-time

This position oversees the safe and efficient operation of the facility during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities: Managing daily activities such as programs, leagues, tournaments, rentals, memberships, and special events; conducting routine inspections; coordinating facility readiness for openings, closings, and event turnovers; serving as primary contact for customer concerns and conflict resolution; responding to emergencies, incidents, and facility issues; supervising on‑duty staff, contractors, officials, instructors, and volunteers; collaborating with team members; identifying maintenance needs and safety hazards; communicating significant issues to leadership.

Supervision: This position serves as the supervisor on duty at the Pulaski County Sportsplex and is supervised by the Assistant Parks & Recreation Director.

Work Hours: Primarily evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods with flexible scheduling.

Hourly Rate: $18 to $25, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred. At least two years relevant experience in recreation, sports facilities, events, hospitality, or customer service, including supervisory or lead experience required.

Membership & Guest Services Manager

This position oversees the overall administration, coordination, and daily operations of the Pulaski County Sportsplex membership platform, guest services, and front desk staff.

Responsibilities: Supervising guest services; membership administration; event support staff; coordinating work assignments, training, and performance monitoring; serving as expert on membership enrollment, account management, auditing, reporting, and policy adherence; providing leadership to the Member & Guest Services team; supporting Parks & Recreation and STEA events by assisting with logistics, facility readiness, staffing, vendor communication, and customer service.

Supervision: Supervises front‑of‑house personnel and reports to the Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation, with administrative oversight from the Director.

Work Hours: Flexible, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; some overtime and overnight travel possible.

Salary: $43,000 to $58,000, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; at least three years of experience in supervision, facility management, customer service, or event coordination.

Guest Services Associate

This position serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, participants, and visitors, providing professional, courteous,



and responsive customer service.

Responsibilities: Assisting with memberships, registrations, reservations, payments, and facility inquiries; maintaining accurate records; providing information about Programs, schedules, amenities, policies, and events; monitoring facility access for compliance; supporting daily operations through administrative tasks, communication, and special event coordination.

Supervision: Works under general supervision of the Membership & Guest Services Manager; oversight from the Assistant Director and Director of Parks & Recreation.

Work Hours: Primarily Monday through Friday during normal business hours; flexibility needed for evening, weekend, holiday, and emergency operations, including overtime and occasional overnight travel.

Salary: $32,500 to $47,500, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred; at least one year of experience in customer service, front desk operations, recreation, hospitality, retail, or related fields; experience handling cash transactions, point‑of‑sale systems, and reservations required; prior experience in a recreation or community facility preferred.

Guest Services Associate – Part time

This position serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, participants, and visitors, providing skilled, courteous, and responsive customer service.

Responsibilities: Assisting with memberships, registrations, reservations, payments, and facility inquiries; sharing information about Programs, schedules, amenities, policies, and events; monitoring facility access for compliance; supporting daily operations through administrative tasks, communication, and special events.

Supervision: Works under supervision of the Membership & Guest Services Manager; oversight from the Assistant Director and Director of Parks & Recreation.

Work Hours: Typically 15 to 29 hours per week, varying by facility needs; includes mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events; some overtime, evening shifts, and overnight travel may be necessary.

Hourly Rate: $14 to $25, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred; at least one year of experience in customer service, front desk operations, recreation, hospitality, retail, or related field; experience with cash handling, point‑of‑sale systems, registrations, and reservations required; prior experience in recreation or community facilities preferred.

Personal Trainer – Part-time

This position provides safe and effective personal training services by assessing clients' fitness levels, reviewing health histories, and developing individualized exercise programs.

Responsibilities: Conducting one‑on‑one, buddy, and small‑group sessions; offering instruction, motivation, and guidance on proper exercise techniques, equipment use, and safe training practices; monitoring client progress; completing follow‑up assessments; modifying programs as needed; maintaining accurate records; supporting a positive, inclusive fitness environment focused on injury prevention and participant safety; aligning with departmental programs and services.

Supervision: Works under the supervision of the Health & Wellness Supervisor; administrative oversight from the Assistant Director and Director of Parks & Recreation.

Work Hours: Flexible and vary based on client and program needs, including weekdays and weekends; no guaranteed hours.

Hourly Rate: $22 to $28, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: Holds a current, nationally accredited personal training certification (e.g., ACSM, NASM, ACE, NSCA,



or equivalent); adult and pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications required; high school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred; prior experience leading various group fitness disciplines such as yoga, Zumba, Les Mills, indoor cycling, aquatic fitness, HIIT, strength training, dance fitness or other specialty formats preferred.

Group Fitness Instructor – Part-time

This position involves planning and leading safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes for participants of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels.

Responsibilities: Providing instruction, demonstrations, motivation, and appropriate exercise modifications; monitoring participant activity; responding to safety concerns or emergencies; ensuring all programs adhere to departmental policies and safety standards; preparing class spaces and equipment; fostering a welcoming environment that promotes health and wellness.

Supervision: Works under the supervision of the Health & Wellness Supervisor; oversight from the Assistant Director and Director of Parks & Recreation.

Work Hours: Flexible, including weekdays and weekends, based on program needs and instructor availability.

Hourly Rate: $14 to $28, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: Holds current, nationally recognized certifications in Group Fitness or Personal Training (e.g., ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, or equivalent); adult and pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications required; high school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred; prior experience leading various group fitness disciplines (yoga, Zumba, Les Mills, indoor cycling, aquatic fitness, HIIT, strength training, or dance fitness) preferred.

Environmental Services Technician Supervisor

This position oversees daily custodial operations, staff scheduling, and facility maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

Responsibilities: Supervising staff; managing inventory and equipment; coordinating floor care; ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.

Supervision: Supervises Environmental Services Technicians and reports to the Environmental Services Supervisor.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; some evening and weekend duties required.

Salary: $37,727 to $55,918, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; at least three years custodial or environmental services experience; supervisory experience and expertise in commercial floor care preferred.

Environmental Services Technician – Full‑time

This position involves maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at the Sportsplex by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, restocking supplies, minor repairs, and managing inventory of cleaning materials.

Responsibilities: Ensuring building security; reporting major maintenance needs; following safety protocols.

Supervision: Reports to the Sportsplex Environmental Service Technician Supervisor.

Work Hours: Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday, from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; some evening and weekend work required.

Salary: $32,655 to $50,393, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; previous experience in Environmental Services preferred.

Environmental Services Technician – Part‑time

This position involves maintaining cleanliness and safety at the Sportsplex by sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, restocking supplies, and performing minor repairs.

Responsibilities: Managing inventory; ensuring building security; reporting major maintenance needs; following safety protocols.

Supervision: Reports to the Environmental Service Technician Supervisor.

Work Hours: Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday; hours determined by the supervisor, totaling 20 to 29 hours per week; evening and weekend shifts required.

Hourly Rate: $14 to $20, commensurate with education and experience.

Education & Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; previous experience in Environmental Services preferred.
