Vehicle Fire Suppression & Fire Equipment Technician

ESA Fire is seeking an experienced Vehicle Fire Suppression & Fire Equipment Technician to join our team based in Gladstone.
This is a hands‑on role where you'll inspect, service, install and repair vehicle fire suppression systems and portable fire equipment across mining, industrial and commercial sites throughout Central Queensland. Every day is different, with opportunities to work on a wide variety of equipment while delivering high‑quality fire protection solutions to our customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Inspecting, servicing and installing vehicle fire suppression systems.
- Servicing portable fire extinguishers and fire blankets.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs.
- Completing scheduled maintenance and compliance inspections.
- Providing outstanding customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Completing electronic service reports and documentation.
- Working safely and professionally at all times.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering quality outcomes for our customers.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience servicing or installing vehicle fire suppression systems.
- Experience with portable fire equipment (QBCC Licenced).
- A mechanical, diesel fitting, auto electrical or similar trade background.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- A positive attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A current Australian Driver Licence.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
