We are looking for a competent and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team, delivering high‑quality nursing care within our busy 7‑chair Day Oncology Unit.
As part of Eastern Health Cancer Services, we provide services to patients and their families across the east and outer east of Melbourne. Our service also operates Monday–Friday, supported by free on‑site parking for patients and staff

About the role
Yarra Ranges Health operates a 7‑chair Day Oncology Unit that forms part of Eastern Health Cancer Services, supporting patients across the east and outer east of Melbourne. Our team provides a wide range of treatments including anti‑cancer therapies, supportive infusions, and specialised non‑cancer treatments across multiple medical streams. We are committed to delivering safe, evidence‑based care in a welcoming, patient‑centred environment.
In addition to our treatment chairs, we run a Monday–Friday Oncology Outpatient Clinic, offering medical reviews, symptom management, treatment planning,
and ongoing support for patients and their families. The service is supported by free on‑site parking, making access easier for patients undergoing regular treatment.
About you
We are seeking a competent, compassionate Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will deliver high‑quality nursing care, support patients through their treatment journey, and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture. You will work closely with oncologists, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and allied health staff to ensure seamless, safe, and person‑centred care.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Demonstrated ability to provide safe, evidence‑based nursing care within an oncology or acute clinical setting with current ADAC competancy
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with relevant clinical experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care, including supporting patients through complex treatment pathways.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Commitment to Eastern Health values and professional standards, including safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Evidence of ongoing professional development and willingness to participate in further oncology‑specific education.
Ability to adapt to changing clinical needs and contribute positively to team culture within a busy day oncology environment
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
