The Orange Ex-Services’ Club Group has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager to join the clubs Operational Leadership Team. In this key management role, you will be involved in the day-to-day operations ensuring a high level of service is delivered to our Club members and guests while also focusing on operational compliance and employee performance management.
Your key responsibilities will include –
- A commitment to enhancing the “Customer Service Experience” through employee training and development strategies,
- Operational compliance ensuring the venue is operating in accordance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor rostering efficiency in line with business activity and maintain roster integrity balancing Customer Service and wage cost.
- A focus on risk and security management and mitigating operational risk.
- Trouble shoot and problem solve in real time ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
- Foster and promote a safe and secure environment for our club members and employees.
- Monitor and enforce established club standards, policies, and procedures.
- Foster an open, cooperative working environment and provide effective leadership.
To be eligible for this role you must hold a current NSW RSA, RCG and Advanced RCG certification along with being available to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays.

You will be supported in this role by a professional management team and a strong organisational structure while reporting directly to the OESC Group Chief Operating Officer.
Critical to your success in this position will be your sound understanding of licensed venues and operations, compliance, strong computer and reporting skills, exceptional people and communication skills, ability to inspire and lead people and outstanding customer service skills. Your leadership experience will also enable you to provide input, strategy, and direction to the overall business so as to build upon the Club's current successes in conjunction with the Management team.
This position will be remunerated in accordance with the Registered and Licensed clubs Award 2020 Level A Club Manager plus 50% Exemption rate, currently $97,916 pa excluding Superannuation.

Orange Ex-Services' Club (OESC) is one of the leading Club Groups in Regional NSW. With a population of around 44,000, Orange is one of Australia's most significant regional cities and has grown to be the hub of NSW's Central West. It's a booming city with great facilities including hatted restaurants, wineries, modern cafes, excellent private and public schools, extensive sporting facilities, its own airport and one of the leading hospitals in the State along with all the facilities that come with such a vibrant and popular city.
With a strong membership of 27,000 and a dedicated staff of 270, the club has four sites: The Main Club, The Country Club, The Wentworth Golf Club and Mercure Orange. The group's facilities include an 18-hole golf course, bowling greens, a 10-court tennis complex and a 78-room motel (Mercure Orange). The group has a gaming machine installation of around 250, and the main Club also offers an exciting food and beverage precinct known as 'The Greenhouse of Orange'. This is now the premier entertainment, food and beverage destination in the area.
