Our client is a well established, highly regarded commercial interior fitout company with a proud history delivering quality office fitouts and refurbishments for businesses across Melbourne. Known for a strong process, a collaborative culture and a reputation for defect free delivery, they are now looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their growing team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day on-site operations across commercial fitout and refurbishment projects — ensuring each is delivered safely, on time, on budget and to a high standard of finish. You'll be the main point of contact between contractors and the project team, keeping the program on track from site establishment through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise, schedule and coordinate trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth work sequences
- Manage all site activities from establishment to handover, including site setup and amenities
- Maintain site records, diaries, drawings and daily progress reports (including photos)
- Enforce OH&S; standards; inductions, toolbox talks, incident reporting and risk management
- Drive quality control; inspect works, manage defect lists and sign-off in a timely manner




- Coordinate materials, deliveries and supplier purchases to keep the program on track
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects and clients throughout each project
- Ensure compliance with building codes, permits and local regulations

What You'll Bring

- Proven experience as a Site Manager in commercial fitout or construction
- Solid working knowledge of OH&S; legislation and site safety management
- Ability to read and work from architectural drawings and specifications
- Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach and sound judgement under pressure
- Relevant trade background or construction management experience highly regarded
