Hospital Information
Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital for the Central Coast, with over 500 inpatient beds and 24/7 access to the emergency department and operating theatres. The new Intensive Care Unit at Gosford Hospital opened in 2019 and has 24 physical bed spaces with 14 funded beds and the capacity to ventilate 11 patients. It is expected that the extra beds will be opened as clinical need arises.
Wyong Hospital is an acute major metropolitan hospital with over 300 beds providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to residents in the northern region of the Central Coast. It features a new ICU at 12 physical bed spaces with 6 funded beds.

Qualifications
1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered, or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
2. Completion of at least three postgraduate years working as a medical officer with demonstrated competence and eligible to be accepted into a recognised training program.
3. Demonstrated commitment to entering or continuing relevant training programme and related medical experience in relevant specialities. Working towards completion of relevant college examinations.
4. Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical setting utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise, with demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
6. Demonstrated time management and problem‑solving skills. Along with evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self‑education.
7. Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills.
8. Demonstration of leadership or initiative in either clinical or non‑clinical setting.
