Job Description
AECOM’s 12‑week paid internship offers students the opportunity to work with a high‑performing team of engineers, designers and drafters, contributing to civil infrastructure projects such as defence, transport and energy.
How you’ll make a difference
- Assist in the planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure to support the wider AECOM business
- Support design management activities such as quality review planning and comment responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client‑focused solutions
- Support on‑site inspections

Qualifications
- Summer Intern attributes: Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment, with strong communication, teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Bachelor’s Degree: Must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering.
- Commencement: Able to work full time hours from mid‑November 2026 to mid‑February 2027.
- Working Rights: Must have full working rights to work in Australia or Current Zealand before applying. Candidates with student and graduate visas are accepted.
