About the role

Due to company growth, we are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our friendly team in the Widebay. This role is critical in ensuring productivity onsite, compliance with quality, accurate pricing, smooth project transitions, and robust collaboration across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Quality assurance and productivity/efficiency of jobs
- Deliver accurate cost estimates and manage tender submissions
- Conduct review of accuracy of quotes
- Assist in development of procedures to streamline processes.
- Regularly discuss potential projects with the team and action on leads
- Liaise regularly with operations teams, technicians, and administration to ensure smooth project handovers and clarity of requirements




- Monitor project progress post-award to ensure pricing assumptions and scope align with actual delivery
- Support the coordination of materials, subcontractors, and scheduling as needed to ensure successful project delivery

Selection Criteria:

- At least 2 years’ experience in project engineering, estimating/tender preparation preferably within Road surfacing / Civil industry.
- Basic Knowledge of construction in order to raise questions and provide advice
- Highly developed communication and Interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel & Outlook
- A high degree of initiative, takes ownership of issues and demonstrates a "can do" attitude
- Ability to prioritize and stay calm under pressure
- Construction/project experience highly desirable
