SMSF ACCOUNTANT – SUPERANNUATION & ADVISORY SERVICES – TOOWOOMBA / HYBRID – AWARD-WINNING FIRM – 9 DAY FORTNIGHT - $90K-$110K (Job ID 1655)

The Role:

- Prepare and review SMSF financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, TBARs and supporting workpapers

- Ensure compliance with ATO and SIS Act requirements, including accurate lodgement of all SMSF obligations

- Reconcile SMSF investment portfolios, bank accounts and member balances using Class Super and/or BGL360

- Liaise with external auditors to support efficient annual audit completion

- Manage SMSFs with pension and accumulation members, including LRBAs and complex fund structures

- Work closely with financial planners and internal stakeholders on superannuation strategy and opportunities

- Provide technical SMSF support and guidance to the broader team

- Contribute to process improvement, workflow efficiency and technical development initiatives

- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service delivery

- Manage competing deadlines and ensure timely completion of all compliance obligations

About You:

- Degree qualified in Accounting,



Commerce or related field

- CA/CPA qualified or currently progressing

- Minimum 3+ years’ SMSF experience within Australian public practice

- Strong technical knowledge of SMSF legislation, SIS Act and taxation rules

- Experience using Class Super and/or BGL360 (or similar SMSF platforms)

- Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management capability

- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines

- Proactive, collaborative and committed to high-quality client service
