Social Media Coordinator Location: Melbourne
Type: Part-time
Hours: 20 hours per week
About Prizecart Hey hey! Thanks for checking out this new role for Prizecart!
Prizecart is a brand new Australian shopping platform that gives people free chances to win instant prizes simply by shopping at the stores they already shop at. Users shop their favourite brands, collect set pieces, and when completing sets unlock real cash prizes! We partner with more than 250 brands, from household names to fast-growing online retailers.
We're a small, fast-moving team. There are no layers here — you'd be working directly with the founders, and your work would be live the same day you make it.
The role We have real prizes going out, real winners, and a growing list of brand partners. What we don't yet have is someone owning the channels that turn all of that into an audience and driving virality
That's this role. You'd own our TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts end to end — planning what goes out, making most of it yourself, publishing it, and being the voice in the comments and DMs.
It's a maker role, not a strategy role. We're not looking for someone to write a quarterly plan and brief it out. We're looking for someone who can have an idea in the morning, shoot and cut it on their phone by lunch, and post it before the trend has moved on.
We want someone truly creative, who can think outside of the box, and has a mind focused on growth and virality!
What you'll be doing
- Owning the weekly content calendar across TikTok, Instagram (Reels and Stories) and YouTube Shorts
- Writing hooks and scripts, then shooting and editing short-form video yourself — mostly lo-fi, phone-shot, rapid
- Turning our actual product moments into content: prize drops,
winner reveals, current brands joining, the things people genuinely react to
- Watching what's working in the AU shopping, deals and money-saving corners of TikTok, and adapting the formats worth stealing
- Community management — replying to comments and DMs daily, and handling the "wait, is this real?" questions in a way that builds trust
- Working with the creators and brand partners we're already running campaigns with, and repurposing their content into our own channels
- Collaborative posts and tagging with brand partners, coordinated with the partnerships side of the team
- Reporting simply and honestly each week: what went out, what performed, what you'd do more of
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience running social accounts for a brand, a creator, or yourself — with the numbers or the work to show for it
- You can edit short-form video to a good standard (CapCut or similar is completely fine — we're not after film school)
- A genuine feel for AU short-form: you know what's currently working here, not just what worked overseas six months ago
- Strong instincts for a hook. You understand that the first two seconds decide everything
- Comfortable on camera, or confident directing and getting the best out of someone who is
- Good judgement in the comments. You'll be representing us publicly, often on posts about money and prizes, which attracts scepticism
- Self-directed.
- Bonus: experience with e-commerce, cashback, fintech or promotions
Our audience is broadly 18-35 and skews female, so a real understanding of that audience matters more than years of experience.
If you love all things social, and love the idea of being part of a growing early stage start up, hit us up!
