As Manager Social Work, you will provide advanced clinical social work services as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the hospital.

As the discipline lead, you will provide professional and clinical leadership, mentor and develop team members, and champion evidence-based practice, quality improvement, patient satisfaction and caregiver engagement.

The Position

- Manage the day-to-day operations of Social Work services,



ensuring that they are consistent with the Divisions strategic and operational objectives to deliver connected and consumer focused health care.
- Ensures that the workforce is rostered effectively to enable expert Social Work clinical services.
- Uses advanced clinical knowledge and experience to develop, evaluate and improve Social Work services.
- Provides clinical social work services to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills e.g. Child Protection, Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse.
- Use of Evidence Based Patient treatment outcome measures and use of Patient feedback - satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities
- Ensure prioritisation and delegation of duties of Social Worker caseloads for self and supervised staff
- Promotes professional values and ethics in clinical practice.
- Demonstrates consolidated, current knowledge of research, evidence-based practice in Social Work and related clinical areas.

Position Essential Requirements You will hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work and be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). You will bring demonstrated advanced clinical experience and proven leadership within a highly specialised area of social work practice in a healthcare setting, with the ability to provide expert clinical guidance, lead service excellence, and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to develop, lead and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous professional growth.



You will also have proven experience in initiating, designing and implementing research and quality improvement initiatives that drive service excellence, support evidence-based practice and enhance patient and organisational outcomes.

- Salary: $153,175 to $161,610 per annum pro-rata basis, plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week
