Base Management

Brisbane

Company Description Base Management is an AI-native project management platform designed specifically for construction, serving as a builder’s operating system. The platform centralizes estimating, scheduling, costs, subcontractor coordination, and client communication from the first plan PDF to the final progress claim. Powered by Base AI, the system can read plans, generate estimates from a builder’s rate book, update programs, and follow up with subcontractors autonomously while keeping users in control.

Base replaces multiple disconnected tools with one integrated solution covering delivery, finance, and project management workflows. The company is built in Australia for Australian commercial builders and continues to evolve its product with cutting-edge AI technologies.

Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Software Engineer at Base Management. The intern will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend services that power the AI-native project management platform. Day-to-day tasks include implementing new features, improving existing code, writing unit and integration tests, and assisting with API development and data processing pipelines.

The intern will collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance,

and ensure reliability and security of the platform. The role also involves participating in code reviews, documenting technical solutions, and supporting continuous improvement of engineering practices.
