Responsibilities & Duties:

- Detailed design of commercial distributed grid-connected solar plants/renewables energy projects.
- Proven working experience in solar farms/plants or renewable energy projects of 5MW and above.
- BESS experience will be an added advantage.
- Design of PV system and related equipment, power system sizing inc. cable and protection equipment selection to relevant Australian and Network Operator or commercial standards.
- Knowledge of current electrical and CEC Australian standards will be an advantage.
- Be involved in the construction activities on-site inc. liaising with contractors, clients and project stakeholders when required.
- Ensure compliance with the project deliverables.
- Engage in engineering projects, including concept, feasibility, design, construction support and commissioning related to the electrical discipline.
- Prepare electrical designs for LV and MV power systems including drawings (e.g. Single lines, Schematics, layout, GA, Cable Schedules) and electrical calculations (maximum demand, cable sizing, heat load).
- Develop engineering documents including design reports, scopes of works, equipment schedules, datasheets, drawing registers etc.
- Liaising with multidisciplinary internal/external project teams and coordinating drafting throughout the design process.
- Interfacing with clients and suppliers to ensure compliance against the relevant standard, project’s basis of design documents and functional specification.
- Coordinate with the project and site managers to ensure the proper and on-time completion of the projects.
- Assist with the tendering of projects including pricing and preliminary designs.
- Always maintain a solid safety awareness and culture.




- Ensure that work is done in compliance with internal quality standards and the quality systems.
- Lead the servicing and support department and always ensure 100% client satisfaction.
- Monitor Perdaman’s Client’s solar Infrastructure and ensure the systems run efficiently.
- Support the project delivery team on a day-to-day basis. Requirements:

Essential Experience

- Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in in grid-connected solar plants/farms, renewable energy, or similar industries.
- You will also need to be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, boast strong stakeholder management skills, and be a highly organised individual.
- Be willing to work on occasion some weekends and outside work hours to accommodate specific site and customer requirements.
- Commercial, Industrial and Utility renewable energy systems design and delivery experience.
- Experience with electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, protection systems, and grid connection works.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate engineering activities across multiple stakeholders and contractors.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and renewable energy systems.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, grid connection requirements, and power infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Software skills using AutoCAD, Helioscope and Near Maps.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail. Qualifications, Certification, or License:
- Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Energy or relevant industry experience.
- Current and valid Australian driver’s license.
