KPA Concrete/GIG X Group is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to join our team in Cheltenham, VIC. This is a part-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of our construction projects. As Project Coordinator, you will be instrumental in ensuring projects run smoothly, deadlines are met, and all stakeholders remain informed and satisfied. This role offers the flexibility of part-time work whilst providing meaningful contribution to our growing construction business.
Asa key member of the project delivery team, your primary focus willbe providing assistance to the project team across projects, withdocument control, project correspondence,procurement, administration of sub-contracts and general coordination of contracts administration.
Key responsibilities
Working closely with the Project manager and site wide team from preconstruction through to completion.
Assisting Project Manager with day-to-day coordination of projects and all other aspects of project delivery
Managing multiple projects at any given time
Managing project documentation, RFIs, EOTs, ITPs, variations, sub-contractor packages, procurement schedules and progress claims.
Ensuring the team always have the latest construction documentation
Review construction documentation and prepare scopes and source quotes
Coordinating supplier and subcontractor communications to ensure materials and trades are delivered on time.
Monitoring project programs and assisting with construction scheduling
Laise with builders and sub-contractors and preparing reports, tracking project costs and maintaining accurate project records
Live spend vs budget tracking for the duration of project
Review, negotiate and finalise subcontracts and purchase orders with the guidance of the Project Delivery Team
Maintaining client files with relevant contract and documentation
Ensuring compliance within the framework of OHS
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Project Coordinator with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar project support role, within the construction or related industry
Robust organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software
Knowledge of construction terminology, processes and safety standards
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
Problem-solving ability and flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Valid driver's licence and willingness to visit project sites as required
