About the role

As the Senior Inclusion Support Advisor, you will cooperate with the Study Well team to provide essential services that support inclusion, learning support and student success across Southern Cross University. You will coordinate and mentor a small team, combining your leadership and frontline service delivery to shape how the university supports students with disability, long-term illness, mental health conditions, or caring responsibilities. Alongside a personal caseload, you will contribute to and lead projects arising from the University’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan, influencing real and lasting change and supporting the implementation of inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate, mentor and develop the Inclusion Support team, ensuring quality service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Manage a caseload (20–40%) of students with diverse and complex needs, overseeing adjustments and inclusive learning strategies.
- Drive change initiatives through the Disability Inclusion Action Plan, including current processes, training and frameworks.
- Build staff capability across the University through disability awareness training and inclusive practice workshops.
- Support students with a disability to thrive at Southern Cross University.
- Lead and mentor a passionate team delivering inclusion support services.
- Partner with faculties to deliver equitable and compliant student support.

Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree or higher in occupational therapy, nursing, allied health, mental health, social work,



disability studies, speech pathology or a related field.
- Strong supervisory and mentoring skills, with the ability to upskill and influence staff, including Faculty partners.
- Proven experience in disability services, inclusive education practices and accommodations (higher education experience will be highly regarded, but not essential).
- Experience managing complex caseloads, using assessment tools and recommending reasonable adjustments.
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead initiatives that improve systems, processes, services and student outcomes.

- Full‑time, fixed‑term (~1.5 years).
- Positions located at Gold Coast, QLD, Coffs Harbour, NSW or Lismore, NSW. Relocation assistance available.
- HEW Level 6 with higher duties allowance. Base salary $110,250 per annum plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. Total remuneration package $128,993.
