About the role
We are seeking an experienced Dermatologist to take up ongoing sessional hours, assisting with the provision of safe, patient centred, evidence based care to members of our Community. In 2022, Barwon Health established the first public Dermatology clinic available in the Geelong region. Since opening, the clinic has seen a rapid increase in demand and is now looking to expand its services to include specialised clinics focused on care for women and children.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional clinical care by providing safe, evidence-based, patient-centred dermatology services across inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring high‑quality outcomes and an excellent patient experience.
- Provide clinical leadership and education by supervising and mentoring junior medical staff, fostering a collaborative multidisciplinary team setting, and contributing to education, training and the ongoing development of the Dermatology service.
- Drive quality improvement and professional excellence by participating in clinical governance, research, audit and service improvement initiatives, while maintaining compliance with professional standards, organisational policies and contemporary best practice.
What we’re looking for
- Full and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Further qualification in Dermatology.
- Possess a genuine interest in developing and refining the Dermatology service to meet the needs of patients, their families and the broader community.
