Concentishas partnered exclusively with Promech to secure a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Engineer for the team and help deliver on a solid pipeline of upcoming work.

They provide a range of solution-oriented services, collaborating with their clients to deliver quality projects across numerous industries with focus on oil and gas, petrochemical, water and wastewater, minerals processing and alternative energy.
As a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Engineer you will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions while working alongside experienced professionals on complex and rewarding projects.
In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of electrical & instrumentation and from concept through to detailed design, construction support and commissioning. You'll provide technical leadership, collaborate with designers and project teams, and ensure engineering outcomes meet Australian and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver detailed E&I; engineering designs for Oil & Gas projects
- Low Voltage (LV) and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) design
- Completion of power studies, lightning protection and earthing design
- Completion of Hazardous Area (HA) classification and design
- Produce single line diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, termination diagrams,
electrical load lists and cable schedules, earthing layouts, electrical and cable layouts
- Instrumentation specification & functional specification development
- Support project scoping, estimating and planning activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors
- Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian and international standards
About You
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent qualification
- Registered with the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ)
- Proven background delivering E&I; engineering projects within industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and/or Water
- Strong capability in electrical, instrumentation and control system design
- Experience with hazardous area classification and design
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008 and AS/NZS 60079
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- A team-oriented approach with a focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement
Salary for this role is negotiable depending on experience and they are happy to meet the market for the right individual.
