Key Responsibilities for a Successful Deputy Principal
- Build authentic relationships with students, staff, families and community organisations;
- Lead improvement while recognising the opportunities and challenges of a rural and remote setting;
- Support high expectations alongside inclusive practices for a diverse student cohort;
- Strengthen attendance, engagement and wellbeing through collaborative case management;
- Value partnerships with local industry and community organisations to expand learning and career pathways;
- Understand workforce challenges common to rural schools, including supporting early career teachers and maintaining a positive staff culture.
