About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for junior or trainees to join a lovely practice in Seaford.
You will be given the opportunity to learn on the job all aspects of dental assisting.
The practice is well equipped with modern technology.
You will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth running of our dental practice. This is a versatile, casual position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments as needed
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charting and filing
- Ensuring the dental surgery and equipment are clean, well-stocked, and ready for use
- Providing exceptional customer service to our patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Undertaking administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and processing payments
- Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and infection control protocols
What we're looking for
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification or based on experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant,
preferably in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in using dental software and technology
- A genuine passion for the dental industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
