About the Role

Based in Colac, you will keep the fleet in top condition and ready for every season and job. It is a hands-on role suited to a mechanic who takes pride in their work and can back their own judgement.

Responsibilities for the role include:

- Servicing and repairing agricultural machinery and equipment in line with manufacturer specifications
- Inspecting, diagnosing and rectifying machinery and vehicle faults
- Scheduling and booking contracted servicing as required




- Making sure all machinery and equipment is ready for operations ahead of each season or job
- Repairing and fabricating metal parts
- Managing workshop inventory of spare parts, fuels and oils
- Keeping accurate machinery and vehicle service and maintenance records
- Keeping the workshop and sheds clean and orderly
- Completing regular pre-start checks and working to all farm safety policies
- Reporting any near misses, hazards, incidents and injuries as soon as practical

About the Right Fit

- Robust work ethic and ability to use initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work alone and in a team environment
- Current Driver's License (essential)
- Telehandler/Forklift License (preferred)
- HR or HC+ License (advantageous)
