About the Role
Civiltest Pty Ltd, a leading provider of geotechnical, construction materials and laboratory testing services across Australia, is looking for a Junior Soil Technician to join our Thomastown team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the geotechnical and construction testing industry. No previous experience is required - full training will be provided. You'll gain hands-on experience in both the laboratory and field while working alongside experienced technicians on a variety of infrastructure, mining and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with a range of laboratory and field soil testing, including moisture content, density, particle size distribution and Atterberg limits

Prepare, test and record soil samples in accordance with Australian Standards and company procedures

Learn to operate and maintain laboratory and field testing equipment

Accurately record test results and assist with report preparation

Support senior technicians with field investigations and site testing

Follow company health, safety and quality procedures at all times





Work as part of a supportive team while developing your technical skills

What We're Looking For

No previous experience required - full training provided

A genuine interest in science, engineering, construction or laboratory work

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work

Valuable communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work both indoors in the laboratory and outdoors on project sites

Current driver's licence is required
