Role Description This is a part-time, remote Spring Developer role.

The Spring

Developer will design, implement, and maintain back-end services and APIs using the Spring framework to support event platforms, data processing, and stakeholder engagement tools. Daily tasks include writing clean, efficient code, integrating third-party services, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, operations, and marketing. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation to ensure stable and scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development with Spring or similar Java frameworks, focusing on RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, particularly in Java,



with experience using modern development tools and version control.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices for modular, maintainable code.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and application security best practices.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part time workloads, and meet agreed timelines.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or energy-tech solutions is an advantage.
