- Surface Preparation: Sand panels, remove imperfections, and wash surfaces to ensure paint adheres properly.
- Masking: Protect unpainted areas (windows, trim) with specialized tape and paper.
- Colour Matching: Mix and tint paints to precisely match manufacturer codes or existing paint shades.
- Paint Application: Apply primers, base coats, and transparent coats using specialized spray equipment.
- Finishing Touches: Sand between coats, buff, wax, and polish the finished bodywork for a high-gloss finish.
- Key Skills & Requirements
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for spotting imperfections and ensuring perfect colour consistency.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work in physically demanding environments wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Chemical Knowledge: Understanding of paint properties, solvents, and safety compliance regarding hazardous materials
