Stock Controller
Lansvale Motor Group | MG, GWM, LDV and Mahindra | Lansvale Are you an experienced automotive Stock Controller with exceptional attention to detail and a solid understanding of dealership stock administration?
Lansvale Motor Group is seeking an organised, accurate and experienced Stock Controller to join our growing multi-brand dealership representing MG, GWM, LDV and Mahindra.
With up to 250 new and used vehicles moving through the dealership each month, this is a busy, high-volume position requiring strong automotive experience, excellent organisation and a high level of accuracy.
The Stock Controller is responsible for ensuring all new and used vehicle stock is accurately recorded, maintained and processed from vehicle arrival through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate new and used vehicle stock records.
- Process vehicle arrivals, acquisitions, transfers and disposals.
- Ensure all vehicles are correctly entered into dealership systems.
- Maintain accurate vehicle details, model codes, pricing, colours and specifications.
- Monitor vehicle locations and movements across the dealership.
- Coordinate vehicle swaps and transfers with manufacturers and other dealerships.
- Process vehicle invoices, credits and stock adjustments.
- Reconcile physical vehicle stock against dealership system records.
- Monitor incoming vehicles and update estimated arrival information.
- Ensure sold vehicles are correctly allocated and prepared for delivery.
- Work closely with the Sales, Finance, Administration, Pre-Delivery and Accounts departments.
- Assist with floorplan and vehicle funding reconciliations.
- Maintain registration, compliance and vehicle documentation.
- Identify and resolve stock discrepancies promptly.
- Produce regular stock reports for dealership management.
- Ensure dealership and manufacturer stock control procedures are followed.
- Support month-end stock reconciliation and reporting requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous automotive dealership Stock Controller experience.
- Experience working within a busy, high-volume dealership environment.
- Strong knowledge of new and used vehicle stock processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience using automotive dealership management systems.
- Strong computer and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- The ability to manage a high volume of vehicles and transactions.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to follow up outstanding matters.
- The ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- A professional, reliable and accountable approach to your work.
- The ability to identify discrepancies and resolve problems quickly.
- A current Australian driver licence.
