Bakers Delight Lavington is seeking a qualified and experienced Baker to join its busy bakery production team. The successful applicant will be responsible for producing a wide range of fresh breads and bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

- Weigh and measure flour, yeast and other ingredients according to recipes and production requirements
- Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould and shape dough by hand and using commercial bakery equipment
- Prepare and bake breads, rolls, buns, artisan loaves and specialty bakery products
- Operate mixers, dough dividers, moulders, provers and commercial ovens
- Monitor dough temperature, fermentation and proving times
- Set and adjust oven temperatures and baking times to achieve consistent results
- Inspect ingredients and finished products for quality, appearance, texture and freshness
- Follow daily production schedules and ensure products are completed on time
- Maintain accurate production, stock and wastage records
- Monitor ingredient levels and assist with stock rotation and ordering
- Clean and sanitise equipment, trays,



tins, benches and work areas
- Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
- Assist with training and supporting junior bakery staff when required

Requirements

- Relevant baking qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Previous experience working as a Baker in a commercial or retail bakery
- Solid knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, proving and baking processes
- Experience operating commercial bakery machinery and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required
