About the Role
- Develop and manage business opportunities through lead generation, networking, industry events, tenders, and cold calling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure competitive procurement within company guidelines.
- Monitor market activity, pricing trends, and material intake volumes.
- Prepare and submit accurate tenders and quotations.
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc performance reports.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience in account management, sales, procurement, trading, or business development.
- Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities and successfully close deals.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional organisational and time‑management skills.
- A self‑motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously.
- Resilience, initiative, and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Experience within recycling, commodities, manufacturing, logistics, waste management, or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of ferrous and non‑ferrous scrap metals is advantageous.
