International Career Opportunity – Australia – Rombola Family Farms is seeking passionate and driven Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Mataranka, NT, Douglas‑Daly, NT, and Griffith, NSW. This is a permanent, full‑time position reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on all farm machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
- Repair and replace faulty parts.
- Perform routine servicing and oil changes.
- Carry out tyre fitting, inspection, repair, and replacement on heavy diesel machinery and fleet vehicles, including fault identification and ensuring all work meets safety and operational requirements.
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working as a diesel mechanic, preferably with farm machinery.
- Strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to working with heavy machinery.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Willingness to work flexible hours during peak periods.
Advantages & Compensation
Attractive remuneration package based upon relevant qualifications and experience, salary range between $79,000 to $90,000 per annum.
