Opportunity
Join Monash University as a Research Assistant and contribute to research that is improving respiratory healthcare. Working within the Australian and New Zealand Respiratory Audit Program (ANZRAP) and the Chronic Respiratory Disease Research Group, you will support high‑impact research, collaborate with clinicians and healthcare leaders, and help generate evidence that informs clinical practice, policy and international care standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and delivery of ANZRAP research activities, including developing clinical care standards, audit datasets and REDCap data collection platforms.
- Analyse audit data and linked datasets and prepare research reports, conference presentations and peer‑reviewed publications.
- Contribute to evidence synthesis and research translation, support the development of research protocols, ethics and governance documentation, and coordinate meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, contribute to research‑related materials where appropriate,
and support a range of research projects led by Professor Smallwood and the Chronic Respiratory Disease Research Group.
Qualifications
- Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis, research data management, and scholarly writing, with a track record of peer‑reviewed publications.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with research governance, ethics processes, REDCap, statistical software and Microsoft Office, and a strong understanding of confidentiality and information management principles.
