ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join Bass Coast Shire Council. Reporting to the Coordinator Finance, you will provide trusted financial advice and business partnering support across the organisation while contributing to Council's budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial management activities. You will also lead the Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, support financial system improvements and help drive strategic financial planning.
Key responsibilities
- Partnering with business areas to provide quality financial advice and support.
- Supporting the efficient and effective delivery of Council's financial, accounting and reporting functions.
- Contributing to the development of Council's annual budget, long-term financial plan and financial forecasts.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives, including financial system enhancements and process improvements.
- Leading the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchasing Team.

To be successful in this role you will be a robust communicator with a customer‑centric focus, have commitment to financial integrity, and be someone who thrives on a challenge. You will display excellent personal leadership, be adaptable and able to succeed in a rapid‑paced environment.
If you are highly motivated,
can build strong and credible relationships across our organisation, and have a CA/CPA qualification, we would like to hear from you. Previous experience leading teams would be advantageous.
