About the Role
The Director of Allied Health is a key executive leadership role responsible for shaping the strategic direction, clinical excellence and future growth of Allied Health services at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Leading a highly skilled and diverse workforce, you will drive service innovation, workforce capability and contemporary models of care that enhance patient outcomes and support organisational priorities.
Working in close partnership with the Chief Allied Health Officer, executive leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you will influence strategy, lead transformational initiatives and foster collaboration across a broad portfolio of Allied Health disciplines. This is a unique prospect to make a significant impact on the delivery of patient‑centred care within one of Australia's leading public health services.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across Allied Health services
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Drive innovation in models of care aligned with RMH's vision and strategic priorities
- Lead workforce planning, capability development and service redesign initiatives
About You
You are a highly accomplished Allied Health professional with:
- Extensive leadership experience in complex healthcare environments
- A track record of delivering transformational change and service innovation
- Strong strategic, financial and people leadership capabilities
- A passion for multidisciplinary collaboration and consumer‑centred care
- Tertiary qualification in an Allied Health profession
- Current registration with applicable National Board or eligibility for membership with the relevant professional association
- Post‑graduate qualification in health service management/administration/public health/ business management or relevant field
- Exceptional ability to engage and manage stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary quality assurance, education and research in the context of Allied Health professions
- Strong ability to manage change effectively
