Established over 30 years ago, DK Fabrics is a proudly family-owned and operated fabric retailer based in Hindmarsh. Our large 1,800m² store is one of the most well-known destinations for fabrics, sewing supplies, and craft materials in South Australia.

We are passionate about providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service, and we are looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to join our friendly and experienced team.

About the Role

We are seeking a Part-Time Sales Assistant to support day-to-day retail operations. This is a customer-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and has an interest in fabrics, sewing, or crafts.

You will be part of a supportive team, helping customers find the right products while contributing to the smooth running of the store.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional customer service
- Assist customers with fabric selection, product advice, and general enquiries
- Process sales and support day-to-day retail operations
- Receive, unpack, and merchandise stock deliveries




- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented store
- Work collaboratively within a small team setting

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in retail or customer service
- Experience in fabric retail, sewing, or craft environments will be highly regarded
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, helpful, and customer-focused attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
- Strong reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work across Monday–Saturday (10:00am–5:00pm)
