Microsoft Modern Workplace Engineer / SME – Windows 365 & Intune

Our end client is a large enterprise undertaking significant modern workplace and cloud transformation initiatives. The environment is highly collaborative, technology-focused, and committed to delivering secure, scalable, and modern user experiences.

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Modern Workplace Engineer / SME to support and optimise enterprise Microsoft workplace technologies. This role will focus on Windows 365 Cloud PC, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, endpoint security, and cloud-based identity solutions. You will play a key role in operational support, platform optimisation, automation, and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Windows 365 Administration

- Deploy and manage Windows 365 Cloud PC environments.
- Provision, monitor, and troubleshoot Cloud PCs.
- Manage image lifecycle and optimise desktop user experiences.
- Support migration and scaling initiatives.
- Develop application deployment strategies and device policies.
- Create automation pipelines using Terraform and Visual Studio Code.

Microsoft Intune Administration

- Manage device enrolment and endpoint lifecycle.
- Configure compliance policies and configuration profiles.




- Deploy applications and endpoint security controls.
- Support Microsoft Autopilot deployments and ongoing management.

Identity & Directory Services

- Administer Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environments.
- Manage user lifecycle, group management, MFA, Conditional Access, and SSO integrations.
- Support Entra Connect synchronisation.
- Maintain enterprise Active Directory infrastructure and Group Policies.

Security & Project Delivery

- Implement endpoint security controls and support Microsoft Defender.
- Monitor compliance, vulnerabilities, and security incidents.
- Contribute to Zero Trust initiatives and remediation activities.
- Participate in migration and transformation projects.
- Create technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Support testing, deployment, and transition-to-operations activities.

Experience





- 3–7 years supporting Microsoft endpoint and identity technologies.
- Experience managing enterprise Intune environments.
- Strong Windows 365 administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and Zero Trust concepts.
- Strong automation and scripting capability.
- Understanding of Agile environments and ITIL-aligned processes.
- Strong networking and cloud technology knowledge.

Preferred Certifications

- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
