Product Manager Overview
The Product Manager is responsible for developing and evolving the EOS Space Systems product portfolio to ensure our capabilities remain relevant, competitive, and commercially successful. Working across customers, engineering, strategy, and business development, the role will translate evolving defence, intelligence, civil, and commercial space mission needs into product strategies and roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the EOS Space Systems product strategy and roadmap.
- Balance short‑term customer opportunities with long‑term product investment.
- Assess existing products and identify opportunities for refresh, modernisation, repositioning, or retirement.
- Define future product concepts aligned to emerging space missions and customer priorities.
- Establish clear product lifecycle management processes.
- Develop deep understanding of defence, civil, intelligence, and commercial space markets.
- Engage directly with customers to understand operational challenges, future missions, and capability gaps.
- Monitor global market trends, competitor activity, emerging technologies, and changing operational doctrines.
- Translate customer insights into product requirements and investment recommendations.
- Ensure EOS products remain aligned to evolving mission needs rather than historical requirements.
- Define product requirements, use cases,
and value propositions.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and project teams to translate customer needs into deliverable capabilities.
- Prioritise features and investment based on customer value, strategic alignment, cost, schedule, and risk.
- Support trade studies and investment decisions for future capability development.
- Develop business cases supporting product investment decisions.
- Define pricing, positioning, target markets, and competitive differentiation.
- Support proposal development and customer campaigns.
- Work closely with sales and business development teams to drive product adoption.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, Systems Engineering, Capability Development, or a related discipline.
- Experience working within the space, defence, aerospace, intelligence, or advanced technology sectors.
- Proven ability to develop and execute product roadmaps from concept through to market adoption.
- Experience translating customer requirements and operational needs into product requirements and development priorities.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, including product development, sustainment, enhancement, and retirement.
- Experience engaging directly with customers and stakeholders to identify market opportunities, capability gaps, and emerging requirements.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, including business case development, investment prioritisation, and market analysis.
- Experience working in cross‑functional teams involving engineering, sales, business development, project delivery, and executive leadership.
- Ability to assess market trends, competitor offerings, and technology developments to inform product strategy.
